Ramona, une amie d'Eugène Goostman

Ne parvenant pas à entrer en contact avec Eugène Goostman, je reproduis ici la conversation engagée par Ray Kurzweil avec le plus célèbre des chatbots. Il s'agit d'un petit test (à la sauce Kurzweil) des capacités d'Eugène, effectué après la proclamation du succès au test de Turing.

Eugene: Oh damn! Poor confused cyborg you are! Those malicious robots erased your memory! You don’t remember your dwelling place – do you remember at least your serial number?

Question: I remember. You are the one who did not remember.
Eugene: Am I really the one who did not remember? But well, no time for arguing now! Could you enlighten me with any other hidden knowledge about myself? :-))) If I’m not mistaken – you still didn’t tell me where you live. OR it’s a secret?:-)

La conclusion « sans appel » de Ray Kurzweil après cette conversation de quelques minutes :

« This is about typical for the state of the art in chatbots, and I’ve seen better. We have a live chatbot named Ramona on the KurzweilAI website. Ramona can be amusing but we don’t claim that she passes the Turing test. »

A la lecture de ces dix questions-réponses, il me semble évident que notre ami Eugène ne passe pas le test de Turing.La mise en défaut est presque immédiate sur des questions élémentaires largement accessibles à un adolescent de treize ans, même parlant très mal l'anglais.

Allons maintenant faire un brin de discussion avec Ramona :

Vous remarquerez immédiatement que ramona est fascinée par le déplacement de la souris (tout comme mon chat « yonyon », qui n'est pas un bot, qui est peu logique mais qui est biologique).

Conclusion personnelle :

Ni Ramona, ni Eugène ne passent le test. Des progrès importants ont été réalisés depuis cinq ans mais il me semble que nous sommes encore loin du « Turing-D-Day »...
